Railcars of Befu Railway

 

This site is described in Japanese.

Summary of this site is as following.

Befu Railway was once running near Kobe, Japan,

And stopped its service in 1984.

The railway had two lines which were "Tsuchiyama Line" (4.0km)

And "Noguchi Line" (3.6km). Railcars were mainly used for

The latter line. The Railcar with basket at both end of car body

Had Diesel engine with mechanical traction system,

And such a type of old railcar was very rare even at

Those days when photographs that this site shows were taken.

In addition to the above, this site is introducing the photographs of

Railcars of Kaya Railway and Okayama-Rinkou Railway.
